
On Thursday, 26 March to Friday, 27 March 2026, Siriraj Health science Education Excellence center, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, organized the Practical issues in assessing medical competency workshop.
We were honored to have Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cherdsak Iramaneerat, M.D., M.H.P.E., Ph.D., Director of Siriraj Health science Education Excellence center and Instructor in the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital; Assoc. Prof. Anupap Lekakul, M.D., Director of the Center for Medical Competency Assessment (CMCA); Dr. Parichad Apidechakul, Instructor of Siriraj Health science Education Excellence center; and Punyapat Maprapho, M.D., Assistant Lecturer of Siriraj Health science Education Excellence center, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital; Asst. Prof. Nattida Ovattanapanich, M.D., Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, and Assoc. Prof. Kasana Raksamanee, M.D., Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University as the keynote speakers.
The objectives of the workshop were to enhance understanding of the concepts and key principles of medical competency assessment; to exchange experiences and learn from real-world challenges encountered in practice; to develop skills in analyzing case studies and identifying effective solutions; and to strengthen the ability to design and utilize competency assessment tools effectively.
The workshop took place at the 12th Floor, Siriraj Medical Research Center (SiMR), Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital.
