Siriraj Health science Education Excellence center (SHEE) started with the Medical Education Research and Development (MERD), which has approved the establishment of the project from the meeting of the Faculty Committee No. 22/2012 on December 4, 2012, by appointing Associate Professor Dr. Cherdsak Iramanarat as the project manager. According to the order Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital No. 1440/2013 dated July 10, 2013, which the project was established with Assoc. Prof. Rungniran Praditsuwan Deputy Dean of Undergraduate Education, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital. The first phase is the mission of teacher development. Develop teaching and learning processes and educational research have an office/equipment location, including personnel of the Educational Quality Development Research Unit under Division of Medical Education, Education Department, Adulyadej Vikrom Building, 6th floor.
In the year 2016, the Master of Science course began. Health Science Education Program For health science personnel.
In the year 2017, the online distance course was started.
17 January 2017, the Faculty approved "Siriraj Health sciences Education Excellence center" by the resolution of the Faculty Committee Meeting No. 1 / 2017. Initially, it was under the structure of the Education Department and Deputy Dean for Undergraduate Education was overseen. Performance or academic services (summary)
- Open Master of Science Program Health Science Education Program to create a new generation of personnel and develop personnel to know about medical education.
- Developing knowledge in medical education by providing short-term training courses for medical professors, Professors teaching health science courses as well as continuing educational personnel.
- Give knowledge and develop skills in conducting research and education as well as providing consultation on research and education for faculty and staff within the faculty to promote and support educational research by teachers Personnel want to do. To get good quality research that has been widely disseminated, such as in academic conferences including published and distributed.
- Encourage teachers and personnel in Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University do research studies to use the research results to improve / develop learning and teaching and evaluation.
- Cooperation in medical education and academics with other medical institutions both inside and outside the country.
- Disseminate knowledge in medical education in other formats such as DVD, e-learning, online training etc.

Responsible for various short-term training courses for doctors, health science personnel and academic education in health sciences including E-Learning media, DVD training, SHEE Online Course, medical education training through Online, Tailor-made courses, providing training services which can specify the desired subject topic, open free elective courses for 4th-year medical students, teaching and learning for 1st year residents, "Effective clinical teaching, effective teaching in the clinic", open SHEE Online Store, a website that sells online medical knowledge products, SHEE academic sharing, knowledge sharing or articles in Medical Education, SHEE journal.
The next phase plans to open short-term training courses for doctors, health science personnel and academic education in health science (international).
- Education research
Focusing on promote and developing educational research for health science to meet international standards and develop further the knowledge of education for health sciences to suit the country and region for the benefit of teaching development and national development in which a group of professors who are experts in health science education conduct research and is an advisor for masters and doctorate students (in the future) presenting works both nationally and internationally Publication and research. To be used at both the national and international levels.
- Master's Degree
Responsible for the master's degree program in Health Science Education Program (Special Program) for Thai students, open as Blended learning, open a Master's Degree Program (International).
