Standardized Patient Quality Development Project: Basic Acting (Gen 3/2026)
On August 17–19, 2026, the workshop was held at the Exhibition Hall, Siriraj Medical Research Center (SiMR), 12th Floor, His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary 5th December 2007 Building.
Another key initiative to enhance the potential of Standardized Patients (SP) by merging medical knowledge with the art of acting. This program helps participants deeply understand the SP role, allowing them to portray a patient's symptoms, emotions, and behaviors naturally and realistically.
Over the course of 3 days, participants developed everything from basic medical skills related to SP work to Basic Acting fundamentals, including communication, body language, voice control, emotional expression, character analysis, and situational role-playing.
The workshop was honored by expert acting instructors and faculty members who shared their specialized knowledge and guided intensive, hands-on training sessions.
Because being an excellent SP is not just about "memorizing a script"—it is about "understanding the role" and meaningfully conveying the patient's experience to support the practical learning of medical students and healthcare professionals in near-real-life scenarios.
