Many may think that the learning environment refers to physical spaces like buildings, classrooms, libraries, or other facilities, which many educators might view as beyond their ability to change. However, when we talk about the learning environment today, its meaning extends far beyond just the physical space. The learning environment encompasses not only the physical aspects but also the social and psychological aspects. In today's context, we must also consider the online environment (e.g., social media, websites), where students, both pre-and post-graduate, spend a significant amount of time. If we can create an appropriate environment in these virtual spaces, it can greatly enhance the learning experience.
This issue of SHEE Journal, therefore, focuses on Effective Learning Environments as the main theme, exploring how both physical and virtual environments can be optimized to foster better learning outcomes for students.
