What is development as an Instructor?

Learning the role of a standardized patient as an instructor is crucial in developing the quality of standard patients. This enables standard patients to observe the behaviors of medical students, provide constructive feedback, and offer appropriate guidance. The role covers clinical information and humanistic dimensions, utilizing facilitation skills to conduct learning activities, including briefing and debriefing independently. Acting as instructors, standard patients uphold ethical standards comparable to the medical teaching profession.

Faculty Members

Personnel within the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital who have completed the training in developing the quality of standard patients, precisely Course 1: Basic Acting.

Lecture

Knowledge-sharing and practical training course on the Development of an Instructor program.

Roles and Responsibilities

Explaining the roles and responsibilities of standard patients as instructors.

Observation

Observing and summarizing students' behaviors in learning activities with standard patients.

Feedback

Skills in providing constructive feedback.
